New Game: Pseudopods
News posted 21st July, 2005 by David Newton (DavidN)
Of the eight games in the Pending list, a grand total of one was ready for submission, and this was Pseudopods v.05a(p). You'll have to ask fojomrtl what the bits at the end of the name mean, I've no idea. Despite its aesthetic similarity to a DOS graphing package, it's actually a pretty good retro arcade game - the author explains the rules.
Comments from the Author: This is a shooty game I put together after playing around with the line drawing object for TGF. Collect the white flashing pods, avoid or shoot squares.

And the (p) could be some kind of (tm) or (R) thingee.

Heh, I was going to add this to the front page once the animated image was sorted out.

(p)oint - get it? XD

the (p)oint was that I released an unprotected version to another group because there were some people who were having problems with the TGF compiled version. When compiled with MMF, the problem seemed to be alleviated. I figured that if anyone reported a problem here, I'd get someone to recompile an MMF version and add it to this listing, but no one has. I only run TGF because my copy of MMF is v1.2 and it crashes too much for my tastes. ;)

I take that back... one person has now reported a problem. I may upload a MMF version yet.

Ha! Someone else with crashing problems in TGF, welcome to the club.
