Progress
Posted 2nd Nov 08, by NeoMonkey
Ok, here's the progress so far...

As you can see from the pictures I've done a few edits. First is new look of text-editor. Second is Tile overview, which I decided to add as a sub-application.

Also I've been doing some edits in the button system. Originally I had main and toolbox having all the buttons. Now all main system buttons are deleted and put into main's menu tab. Now I have more professional look and smaller toolbox. Also this eases the coding a bit, because I have lesser amount of global values to worry about.

This far I've also done some editing in the main of the application. I have Gradient backround, which can be edited into vertical or horizonal. Also the colours to it are chosen with color selector. Also I've included bars, so you can move the hole application with mouse. But if someone wants to use keyboard, shortcut keys are also added.

This far the new version is going to be more professional and user friendly, but now is starting the hardest part. I need to compine the 2 applications. Basicly if I can't get layering work then the hole application stops working. Also I'm am scaring about the bugs. Now version 2.4 changed the system so much, that major bugs were cutdown, but new big bugs appeared.

I fixed into the new version the scrolling bug, which was in version 2.4's part 1. And now I think this part will work. Now part 2 had problems with including the markers. This is what I fear and hopefully it will work. I hope that god comes (well 2 months ago retired from church, but still...) and by accident I get this to work.

Well next devlog comes when I got progress updated. Mayby after I get the menu to final.

Edit: Ah and by the way, I found same styled program named "MapMaker", has been made with python, but hey this is way better than that ;D
