Sole Gunner is basically a re-vamp'd flash version of the game, Twin Gunner that was once in production for the Xbox. I've decided to make a smaller flash game instead to gain interest for Steam's Greenlight.
Those bloody robots are at it again. Trying to take over the world and attempting to destroy all human life. I guess it's up to you to defeat these metal anarchists as everyone else is busy...doing laundry or something.
Full on, action platformer with tons of explosions. Featuring:
12+ Bosses
6 Weapons
4 Levels (each with 3-5 areas.)
Lots and lots of explosions!
One of the gems is hidden among this forgotten place. Go find it before the Robots do!
The Tower, a sky-high complex that houses a multitude of rockets for the Robots to use against us. Find the gem and destroy this place!
Quickly re-claim the crystal that the Robots stole. It should be on this train somewhere!
????
You start out with your normal pistol gun...but I'm sure you'll love to upgrade, right? Well find these weapon icons through the stages and you can!
A more powerful version of your automatic pistol gun!
A rapid firing laser that can go through walls. Sadly it's not overly powerful...
A highly powerful weapon, however you're unable to move when firing this weapon. (Always a catch eh...)
Slow firing, but extremely damaging, this rocket gun could be your best friend!
The king of kings. This weapon is powerful, goes through walls and is rapid firing. Hell yeah!
So that's all the juicy details of this flash game so far. I know it's a power thirsty flash game, so I'm going to be providing an offline standalone exe for people with slower computers. (: Anyway I hope you likes.
Aiming for a mid November release!

Yeah, a bit late with the game but the game itself is finished! Yay! I'm just now adding NG medals, cut-scenes and doing those final checks. I've held onto the game a bit longer as my girlfriend is coming back from the States for Christmas and I would like to release it when she's 'ere. (This is so she can comfort me when the game will most likely get zero-bombed 'cause of some n00b.)Also it gives me time to prepare a Kickstarter for hopefully a fully developed PC game.
Anyway, four levels, 17 bosses and a broken keyboard and it's finally done!
If anyone is wondering, the game was coded on TGF1, (yes that old thing) and ported over to MMF2. Secondly all me sprites were done on one paint file:
So this game is really trying to be retro . I'll post another update when it's actually finished. Thanks for all the comments through the years of development. Hope you enjoy playing it this, 4th!.
I just couldn't resist putting in a space shooter segment...I mean, it's spacey.
The third (train) level is finished and completed, just time to work on that final level and then the menus. So that 22nd-26th deadline looks really likely. (And close.)
Good news, the first stage, Forgotten Lands is totally finished! Didn't take too long neither so that's lovely. I'm now working on the third stage, which be the Cargo Train.
This level is going to play sort of like a Mega Man X level, which means it's going to be a wee bit tougher than the other two. However as you can select which of the first three stages to play, (much like Gunstar) it doesn't really matter. Anyway yeah, 'ere be a picture.
Thanks for all the comments! Means so much that people are enjoying the look of this game!
(And a video of one of the parts from the first stage)
(This is an old video, I've done tweaks to the sound and boss)
