Oops, Deadline day lol
Posted 31st Jan 11, by AndyUK
I didn't keep track of the time but apparently it's the 31st of January. The deadline has arrived!

Well the game isn't finished, I didn't expect it to be finished and I lost interest for a long time in the middle there somewhere. It happens.

So what to do now? Release what I have? Finish it quickly or just abandon the whole thing?

Also here is another screenshot.

I count 19 colours in that image, forget the debug counter, 18 is still too many so ive messed up somewhere.

If you can't finish it quickly then just release what you have.

oh the deadline. i did lost a bit of interest on mine too, or maybe the vacations got more interesting than the game.

But i think its still worth finishing it up, so i'll just forget about the compo and finish it some day. Your game looks nice, so i think you should finish it, but not in a rush.

I got bummed out on all things klik around new years eve because of all the GamesterXIII hullabaloo.

But then I got super-psyched again after getting a new idea!

So my compo entry won't be finished in quite a while.
But hey, release a "few level demo" and then take your time finishing up the whole game!

I'll keep working on it. I actually spent a lot of yesterday sorting out the palettes for the two worlds ive started on. I had defined two palettes of 10 colours! luckily i only used the extra colours on one object lol.
Right now i can quickly make loads of levels and maybe add an extra world with some stuff ive drawn and not used.
Shouldn't take too long.

Wow this looks great, I hope you do finish it even if it is a rush.
What kinda music do u have for it?

4 channel IT music made with Modplug tracker. With square wave and other '8 bit' sounding samples.

I find it much easier to make retro tunes by making them in Anvil Studio, then using FruityLoops Soundfont player to convert them, using various soundfonts off the net.
