Alittle Bit More Info

The TMNT Engine has been in development since July 12th 2006. Its somthing i've always wanted to do and to make TMNT fan games too.

The TMNT arcade game is my all time favourite arcade game and beat em up, so much so that I own the 4 player arcade machine.

(people with a good eye may notice that i've put TMNT: Turtles In Time into the cabinet)

It was the game of my childhood and part of the excitment of going to Wales on holiday was going to the local arcade to play this with my brother (me always being Micky of course).

It was 9 years later or so when I got my first arcade machine which was The Simpsons, and as fantastic as a game that it is I still really wanted a TMNT machine. A few years later it came a reality.
Since then many more PCB/Jamma Boards have entered my hands so like a console I can swap the games inside the cabinets, games such as Bucky O Hare, TMNT 2, Vendetta, Sunset Riders and X-Men.

The TMNT Engine started getting noticed and did really well, but 6 months or so later Ubisoft released the original arcade game on the Xbox Live Marketplace which for me pretty much killed the project.

While the Xbox Live version was possibly the best port and had online co-op it was still only 1 game and we knew that there wouldn't be any new content.

After a years break I started work again on the TMNT Engine, I received many comments, e-mails and thanks for the project and fans were still talking about it, eager for a new version.
The differance with this project was that I could make my own TMNT games, add my own content, new enemies, levels, whatever I wanted.
It wasn't just for the fans, it was for me.

And so, once again the TMNT Engine begins work and Version 0.6 has been released, lets just see how far I get with it shall we?

Thanks for reading

Most of my fond arcade memories are about 7 or 8 years earlier than TMNT came out but yeah it was the best arcade game of that time period bar none.

He does look proud.

I think I played the Amiga version. But I'm more a Streets of Rage 2 kinda person.
