The Nearby Tomb
Posted 12th Aug 08, by Jon Lambert
One of the places revealed in the engine release's world map was a place called The Nearby Tomb. It is here that the player will fight the second boss and retrieve the first of two talismans that the elder wants to use to defend Apar Town from the still-unannounced evil that plagues the world of the dead.

The Nearby Tomb starts out innocently enough. A simple floating platform over some ectoplasm, then a nice walk down a small slope. Soon however you will discover cannons blasting bullets at you from out of reach. Drop down deep underground and you will find spikes and more cannons. Halfway through acid is introduced. Acid in this game may very well be the most powerful acid ever experienced! It will kill a perfectly healthy player in no less than 2 seconds!

Yes, but the world map also reveals that there should be an area called the Crossroads before the tomb. The reason I made the tomb first was because when I made the original, there were no crossroads, but there was a completed tomb. I also really like the tomb, it is my second favorite level.

Superb graphics, although I must say that I perfer full screen and resized pixels when it comes to games with graphics this small.

it might be better to get more contrast between the forground and background in those caves since the screen is so small.
Otherwise people's eyes will struggle.

Good point from AndyUK. Does anyone else fancy the 'look' of this game? I'm not talking about graphics, this game just 'feels' like it's gonna be so good!
