Finally, after two weeks of almost non-stop level editor work, it is completed. Barring any bugs I find while making levels, I can now return my attention to the actual game, improvements which I will be making shortly after the final editor screenshot:
It's not the most intuitive level editor out there, but it gets the job done, and it allows for alot of freedom when it comes to custom tiles, backgrounds, etc..
Now, onto upcoming changes for the game. This is what is in the works:
-Instead of blowing up in a cloud of blood, the characters will now fall on their faces. I actually have a working prototype of this, and it now merely remains to put it in the game.
-The ability to hold only two weapons, and limited ammo for those weapons. This is one of those features I've been looking at for a long time, but other stuff has gotten in the way. This will be worked on soon.
And that's it. I'm thinking that after these changes are added, I'll probably release a public beta for everybody, level editor included. So watch out for that.
