It's been almost a month since I've updated, so I guess I should fill everybody in on what's going on.
Around the time of the last devlog, I ran into a large snag that would have limited the userbase immensely. It turns out that the method for loading the levels didn't work on crappy computers. They would indeed load, but the collision masks for the levels wouldn't work unless the computer was good enough. So, unable to get around this, I pretty much lost interest and the project has been dormant until recently.
But, a couple of days ago, I felt the desire to start up work again, but seeing the level loading problems(including performance problems in general), I've decided to re-write the entire game. I'm currently working on getting level loading first, and I can proudly say that the method used not only works on all computers, but it also supports advanced physics for real rag-dolls, crates(and the like), and vehicles.
Also, I've been thinking up some new ideas to expand upon just the whole shoot everybody dead idea, but I won't talk about that yet. Perhaps another update.
So, that's about it, just in case anybody wanted to know what happened to this, and what is currently happening to it. Check back soon for an update on the progress of the game.
