At the moment, the game is playable up to the 3rd dungeo. The final version of the game will have a total of nine dungeons (not including the intro dungeon), as well as plenty of environments, secret areas, and towns. There will also be a good variety of sword skills, magic skills, and other abilities, some of which are required in order to access new areas.
I'd say that i've programmed roughly 25% of all the skills and abilities Ikkin will be able to learn, as well as about 30% of the items. I also plan on adding a summoning system to the game sometime after the third dungeon, which will allow Ikkin to summon a powerful creature to aid her in battle (which, for storyline purposes, I cannot describe in more detail). This creature will also be able to learn new skills on its own and revive Ikkin if she is killed in battle, which becomes extremely useful later on when the difficulty kicks into high gear.
I shall continue to post updates whenever i've finished a new dungeon, at the very least. I may also post updates beforehand if something major or exciting comes up.
This project has been a journey in its own right, and I truly hope that the journey can be completed to its rightful end. No matter how long it takes.
W3R3W00F - What reminds you of DragonFable - the screenshots or the name? I've heard of DragonFable, but the game has nothing to do with it. I'm also terrible at drawing dragons, so I think the closest thing to a dragon in this game will be a giant lizard of some sort.
You betcha! The game is playable up to the end of the second dungeon right now, but once i've completed the third dungeon, I hope to release a working demo to get feedback, much like what I did with Jade Phoenix.
