This one-level game was created for shmup.com's "horizontal scroller with BOSS" competition in 2006. It features classical horizontal shoot'em up action.

Game controls can be configured ingame.

arrow pad : move the Ship
button 1 : shot
button 2 : bomb

Try to get the blue crystals to unlock artworks in the gallery.

Well it looked good, but I didn't really care for it.

The graphics had a lot of problems. The clouds should go in front of the moon. I assume that a lot of the graphical problems are due to the fact that you used tgf though so I'll only take off 1 star for that.

The gameplay was pretty boring, the enemies were too repetitive,and the explosions left much to be desired, and no weapon upgrades. 2 stars off for that.

Two stars cause its a shmup, we need more of them!

I agree with you on the technical problems. The game lacks a little polishment in some fields. Like the background, which really needs some kind of paralex scrolling. Also the sound effects and explosions are not really so well. But I have to disagree with the enemy variety. I personally thought the different enemies and level design aren't too bad.

It's not bad that. Could do with a lot of tweaking but the art is quite good (reminded me of a 2D R-Type Delta) and it's easy enough to play.

But it keeps crashing for me. I can't play through the full thing because of it.

I am sorry, but I can't take this complaint serious. It really leaves the impression to me, that you are trying to "penalize" games which have put some effort into their graphics. Esspecially after comparing it with your games, I wonder what you would rate your own games when you value the graphics that much...?

Actually I thought writing comments about other's games is for constructive feedback, so that every member of the community gets motivated to enhance their games. At least that is what I thought gamedev communities are for.

Edge is right. I've compared both gfx and your's aren't much to write home about, Tox.

Before you critisize about the quality of someone else's game, think about YOUR game's quality and Then you'll see who really needs the crit. Just goes to show you aren't any better than the rest of us.

And just because someone else has better gfx than doesn't mean you should just downvote their game. You're acting like a child and being a poor sport. And think how you'd feel if someone did the same to YOU.
