Locked is an old game which was made back in 1996, but is remade here in 2009!

It was made for the competition "Next gen compo"

Controls:
Arrows - Move

Try and bring your hero to the finish line by Dodging angry smilies, evil skulls and satellite dishes in the space level, it is all there! And with some small puzzle elements thrown into the mix this should prove you with some solid entertainment!

Be sure to collect those dots for extra points!

This was made by Rikus and Solgryn

If you want to compare this to the old 1996 version, you can at: http://www.create-games.com/downloads/locked1996.zip

It lures you in...

Good attempt - i got to the 3rd stage however the game didn't seem to want to move on after that. Also, i cheated on level 2 as i went straight down into the score-box, moved outside of the walls to the teleporter and went straight to the final room. Liked the chase in level 3 though, and good concept

Also, the spaceship on level 4 I think it was, takes you to the second half of that level instead of the next level.

Fixed all the bugs! Try and re-download, I really enjoyed revisiting the space level this time around. And a big hand to Solgryn for the new great graphics that fit the style of the game perfectly and the small new added gameplay elements he added that just make the game much more fun then the old version!

WHOA. Locked was already considered old when I joined the community. It's awesome to see it make a comeback!

Pretty good fun. A nice little action puzzle game you have here.
Although some parts to seem to be based on luck rather than skill. Those deadly red lines for instance don't appear to by synced up with each other so getting past them can be impossible depending on how long the level has been running. I could be wrong but it's really difficult to judge when it's safe to pass them you just have to hope you'll make it.

I thought the same thing. I didn't even get past level 2 on the bug-fixed version because I couldn't get past the red lines to the key.

I made it to level 7 at least. It was pretty fun, the graphics are okay, it's a decent game. I found it a tad boring though. My advice to improve the game would be to use the directshow object to play the music across frames. Plus maybe add a simple fade-in, fade-out transition between levels, which would pair well with the music playing across the frames, like TNSS. Also I really think the red lines need to be in sync when they move; they always get me. Also, add a custom movement, the 8 directions movement and its "set speed to 0 when colliding with object" trick really doesn't go well with a game like this.

There are plenty of ways to improve this, and those are just a few. As it stands, it's not too bad.
It was a decent game.

Thanks for the great comments guys, I actually agree so I have put the red lines in sync, made them a bit smaller and slowed them down a bit. That should do the trick

Pure frustration... I thought those games where laid to rest a century ago, I was wrong

Frustration?

I beat this on my first go without losing any lives! The end credits are almost as long as the actual game!

I don't remember playing the original Locked though, but this was ok, could have been a bit graphically better and the engine less sticky.

Glad to still see you around Chris, thanks for the comments

Its the same game but with updated graphics and improved game play love it! It was like playing mario on the nes and then playing the updated version Mario all star on the super nes lol! Theres a mistake on the old version Rikus, when you get too the moon level on the 2nd part when you turn off the electricity and go back to the first part of the level it re-starts the moon level! So was impossible to complete!
