Copied and pasted from Newgrounds:
My latest homage to that ol' grey tub of nerdjoy. This is basically just a little tribute to all those hard as nails action platformers we all know from the NES era. Finished the game in about a week, however I held off uploading to Newgrounds because of the Halloweeny stuff. In that time I actually made an extra hardcore level. Mhaha.
It's hard, it's unforgiving, it's 8-bit. Get used to it. I've even put up a little disclaimer just in case you can't handle it. If this is the case, go play the latest COD game or something.
Blast through six levels, (30+ "blocks/areas" collect retro power ups, unlock medals and upload your high scores to Newgrounds!
The controls can be changed in the OPTIONS menu. Default they be:
L/R Arrows: Move
A: Fire
S: Jump
+/- Keys: Change Volume
Enter: Start/Pause
Hope you enjoy it, it was a blast to make .

I love this. It hits me right in the childhood in a good way

It's great! I didn't find it that hard, but I only played the first level.
I added it to my site if you don't mind:

Just played, great old-school feel to it. I still play the old NES games on my Dreamcast sometimes. This could fit right in, great job!

Wow thanks for all your comments! And I don't mind at all UrbanMonk, not at all. I'm just glad people liked playing it!
