Basically, 3 days to complete a game, at the end of it, there will be a public vote on the best one. DC points/custom tags for prizes.
Anyone interested?

I figure we're bound to have more entries here, so should be alot of competition, maybe.

What if I were to make a game in 72 hours and 6 minutes, would that still count? Being serious though, I think it'd be better if you put another objective towards the comp, perhaps a sport game, or a war game. Anyone could submit a game and say they made it in 72 hours, (although you maybe able to tell when you look at the properties) yet it's still possible to cheat that.
So perhaps a few guidelines, just incase we get any "cheaters." Hmmm?

Sounds good. Always a good chance to practice, if nothing else.

I was thinking about that Bromios, so I was probably going to throw out an objective game you know (space shooter, war, etc).

Not in 72 hours they haven't.
I don't think an RPG is even a tangible goal in 72 hours. Even a crappy one takes longer than that. You could maybe make a overmap system and battle system... but to load a storyline? Pretty unlikely.

I could do that theme in 72 hours easy. It wouldn't be Final Fantasy XIXIVLCMMIII, but it's doable.
Actually I've been wanting to make a Gargoyle's Quest clone for a while now.

I'm talking with club about refixing the general poll and allowing us lowly admins to change it, so that's where voting might be handled. So I guess this comps a go. Details to follow.

instead of final fantasy style, make it squaresoft style so i could atleast do a real time battle system instead of a shitty turn based

Exactly. I want to make a real time battle system which awards you 'Dexterity' and 'Wisdom' for beating up little goblins and stealing their potions.
Er, wrong game. You know what I mean.

Looks like everybody wants a RPG contest. That probably means we'll get a Mario clone contest. Oh, wait. It's Shabadabadoo, so it will be about anime. I'm crying.

I know you cant say what kind of game it has to be before the competition is announced. But can you please say a month in advance what the start and finish date is going to be? Its not exactly fair if someone doesnt know about the comp until 1 hour left.
Also, they wont be able to start early because they dont know what kind of game it will be.

Why the hell does anyone want an RPG contest in 72 hours. And ANOTHER one at that.
"Actually sir, we found a tiny unicorn in your exhaust. It was jumping around poking holes in your gas tank." "Oh thank you I did not know that. A tiny unicorn? Wow."
