Hmm... It's mostly just spheres, but what else is a snowman made of but spheres.
I don't think a snowman would have that dark shadows and stuff. It'd merely reflect the light or something. Unless it's really dark, I dunno.
Omni lights are usually used for things like lights because they emit lights on all sides. If you use 3DS, you should use Direct Lights. Or if you want to use Omni lights how ever, you should add multiable lights. As a final note for lighting, if your want to show off the model, its best to just use a simple top left corner lighting effect unless youíre showing off how well done the materials are mode or something. If thatís the case, try to create some realistic light, which includes ambience, shadows, & so on. All of which are parts of lighting effects. As far as the model, itís interesting, but looks like you just harvested 8 models & killed 2 of them, while putting the others together.
The "snowman" or lack there of, as Klikmaster, is still just multiable simple shapes put together. It doesnt even have a face. Alot more work is going to be needed to make models that are even half decent, all you did here was put shapes together & called it a model. Sorry to say, but you need alot more practice, I cant really comment a bunch of shapes put together in the shape that wouldnt even look like a snowman to somone half blind & only saw shadows. No offence obviously
