Sitesled is seriously screwed up... anyone know why? all my files are there, but when I try to click on one of them it says "had trouble finding that page" and even when I reuploaded a ton of stuff it still happened. IS this happening to anyone else?

They removed my account for the second time and I had a full website, no rules broken. I say screw Sitesled at this point, they think they have everyone at their finger tips, giving them the right to batter down accounts for the hell of it.

Brandon: they do. You get what you pay for in this world. Pay for sod all and get sod all. I pay money for my hosting because there's no such thing as a reliable free host. My website won't end up arbitrarily erased, and if it does, I'll have grounds to complain. You don't have any grounds to complain.

Actually there is such a thing as a reliable free host. Ectoprods is(and has been for years) graciously hosted for free by panther hosting.

I've had my Angelfire account for years and have flagrantly abused it for file hosting, and nothing's ever happened to it. About a year ago I opened up another and it was taken down within about two minutes.

yeah, i found that out today. the http://sitesled.com/members/bibinson doesn't work, however, changing everything to use bibinson.sitesled.com worked fine. make sure not to use www. I spent a good half hour fixing that on my website; notice how my avatar is working again?

@Pete Nattress: Agreed I'll be getting a job this summer, so I'll be getting a reliable host afterwards, but until then. I'm not going to dwell on it, not worth it. It's not even like anyone looks at any of my stuff a few days after it's posted, so even when I do pay for a web host, I'm not wasting money on a web host with over a GB of web space and any more then 1GB of bandwidth a month, I'd have no use for it.

It might just be the fact that it went from being a secret, to this huge thing and didn’t have to power to support all the flood of new people that suddenly started joining. That would explain its "amazing stability". That would also explain why they are rapidly removing files that are using it more as web space then for a website.
