Go Portugal! They reached that far the first time in 40 or so years! England is not a good team... or a team of only 2 good players....It's just a team of all talk and no game, it's always been that way, and it will always be. The only thing England will win in world cups, are the size of the team's cheers mouths. = I wanted Brazil, Portugal, Italy to win...and one of them did So I was happy.
for European standard, I believe England is one of the best. But this world cup, like many other good teams, England didn't play well. It sucks for England that if you lose 1 or 2 players (roonie or backham) sorry if I mispelled their names...then England's team is nothing, and i feel the team is just way too dependent on them. Hence why they lost for Portugal.
Mexico sucks although they do have awesome margaritas drinks...lol! and they're not South American. Argentina is another very good team of tradition. Both Brasil and Argentina are really good teams, I guess they make up for the rest sucky ones lol.
If South American teams were so good how come all the semi-finalists were European?
And England are a team of 21 excellent players + Walcott and Jenas, but the team itself is not a good one. No cohesion, no passion, no reward. We played better with ten men and no Rooney or Beckham than we did in the entire tournament.
no Noodle, sorry. England didn't play good. Also, 1 world cup alone doesn't say who are the best in the world. Also, when was the last time England won a world cup? I don't think I was born....if so I cannot remember.
Brazil (5)
Germany (3)
England (1)
Italy (4)
France (1)
Uruguay (2)
Argentina (2)
have ever won it. How many teams participare in the qualifiers each four years? hundreds. So there
Oh also England didn't bother participating in the early world cups.
So talking about not winning since 1966 means little.
Obviously, there is no point on arguing about this. The numbers speak for themselves, so I don't think there is a point on arguing which teams are good or not, naturally you will cheer for your home country (for the most part) and that blinds people from seeing the truth and fact of the matter. So I'll leave it at that and wish England luck, lots of it on the next world cup.
