Portal lately? I just jumped back in to play a few more levels just because Portal 2 got me excited about the game again, and I was pleasantly surprised to notice that there was something different about the game. Now I heard about an update a few months ago that altered the game in a way that provided subtle hints toward the announcement of Portal 2, but I wasn't quite aware of the fact that this update actually made the game significantly more interesting to go around it a second time.
If you play through it now, you'll notice there at least 1 radio in every single puzzle. Find the radio and then try to find a spot in the level where the radio transmission changes from music to static and then to Morse code. It's actually incredibly fun to do this as an added puzzle to already existing puzzles because so far, I've already had to kind of re-think how I solved some of the puzzles so that I could work the radio into them.
Heres a tip just in case you're not sure what I'm talking about. In the very first level, the radio in the room. Carry it out with you into the room with the first button. The music will static away and transition into Morse code and then the red light will turn green. You also get achievements for this!
Yes I have noticed this too Also if you bring that radio to the disintegration field, it will make a creepy noise. There's videos on YouTube that use morse code programs to translate that and somehow use those frequencies to uncover hidden pictures in the sound. I don't know Check it out.
Yeah, it's some pretty insane stuff. I love it though. I never would have guessed when I first saw the trailer for Portal, that it was going to unleash so much fascination beyond just the game itself. Valve is outdoing themselves and defiantly holding my attention. I love it.
