It's about time this game got finished eh? It's going back to it's roots of being an action adventure platformer thing. It's going to be made for flash so sadly it's going to be a lot shorter than I originally wanted. I'm still working out a final story but it's going to involve collectables items called, Powerplugs. These will power up ancient machinery that will open up new areas to explore.

Image
6 Worlds. (1 Hub-world and 5 Levels.)
30 Powerplugs to collect.
3 Different characters.
Lots of different moves, guns and powerpads.
Newground medal mini-games.
Huge inter-connecting world.

ENGINE: COMPLETE.

HUB WORLD: 35%
LEVEL 1: 0%
LEVEL 2: 0%
LEVEL 3: 0%
LEVEL 4: 0%
LEVEL 5: 0%
BOSSES: 0%
CUT-SCENES: 0%
MUSIC: 15%

Some screenies:

'Ello. Hope everyone had a good Christmas! ^-^. Anyway, I've worked a bit more on this project, of course with my health not being too good at the moment, it's going a bit slow...but hey, the project is still going forward.

At the moment, it's really starting to play like a cross between, Jak & Daxter and Banjo-Kazooie which can only be a good thing. The game is going to be pretty big for a flash game, so another downloadable job might be in order as well as the flash game.

Anyway 'ere be some screen grabs of the first part of the hub world:

The starting area

One of the thirty Powerplugs you'll need to collect.

Image
The Ancient Mechanism. The place where you unlock new areas.

Image
Stonedrop Valley, the second part of the hub world.

Image
The entrance to Moonhead Mount. You'll need one Powerplug to open up that stone door there.

As you can see, I've reduced the amount of collectables to 30. However I'm going to be making the worlds twice a big to compensate. =

Going to finish this game off now:

That's right, I'm going to finish this one off too, seeing as my Kickstarter didn't go down too well.

Anyway, it's going to be made for flash and it's going to be the original gameplay/idea that I had back in 2008. (That long ago!)

It's going to be a smaller version as it's going to be developed for flash, but the idea of it being similar to Banjo-Kazooie/ Super Mario 64 is still there. (This time you'll be saving/collecting the Fuzzlets.)

Anyway, 'ere be a picture of the hub world that be still in the making:

Yep, the graphics have changed. I fancied doing something different this time around, (art style.) Plus it's a lot quicker and easier to sprite. (The engine is all complete btw.)

Anyway, yeah. Just thought I would share. I don't know exactly when it'll be finished but I'm aiming for a mid March release.

So Here We Are.

I've been sort of hiding at the moment with my projects and I can now safely say, all of them are dead. This one (at the current state it was is dead, ForceGunner and that Toaster game are also dead.) I sadly had a HDD failure again, even though I had a lot of stuff backed up on disks I just wasn't in the mood to carry on. So I packed my bags and bought the flash exporter and starting working on actually finishing a damn game...which I did. You can find them on Newgrounds; Rock 'N' Load, MagnetKid, Room Raider and McFrog. (My username is Sinclairian).

Anyway, I just can't let Poob die all that easily. It's the game that tought me basic platforming engine ideas and how to improve. So I started again, this time working with flash in mind I've set out to create and finish this damn game once and for all!

Now I'm just going to unline basic stuff at the moment, for example, it's a platformer which good ol' british humour and has pinches of mini-games to stop it getting overly repetitive. You control two dudes, Jojo and Moonhead, each with their own move set. On top of that, you have stages where you can fly spaceships, craft submarines and skydive. (To name a few.)

Now I've just started work on it but I'm very far into the game, which the engine finished and a lot of art work finished for the game, I'm aiming for a June release. But for now, you can have a screenshot, showing the first level running on Newgrounds.

In a couple of weeks time I should have a little teaser video finished. Once I've uploaded that, I'll update the project page with all the new details .
