Recoded engine, video
Posted 20th Aug 09, by Hayo
This will be my last update in a while, won't have much time to work on this in the weeks to come.

I recoded the engine by myself because I don't want to rely on other people. I am a mediocre coder but I am learning a lot from this. I am slowly adding new features, like being able to climb fences like a Mario.

I also made a little video showing Fishheads new moves.

As you can see in the video all the gameplay elements from Fishhead 2 are back. The reason for this is that the story picks up where Fishhead 2 ended. The pothead/tomatoman clone machine is destroyed, but there's still a blueprint of it floating around. Fishhead will use the way of the Stone Goose to protect them from the baddies.

Even with the low quality I can tell the graphics are great! Also, is fishheads voice yours?

I made a couple of effect/pitch presets on my mac in Logic, I can talk into my mic and sound like Fishhead, Pothead, Tomatoman and so on, realtime. With headphones on this is a terrifying experience.

I like how it's really similar to Fishhead 2 and 3 but with much more open levels. It's a formula that hasn't really been used in any other click games as far as I can recall.
Is there going to be levels with different gameplay or will it be the basic 3 keys 3 doors thing throughout?

The 3 key 3 door thing will be like the canvas of the gameplay. Added to that will be the athletic stuff and puzzles involving different kinds of bullets.

Wow, I liked what I saw so far. Keep it up!

That looks completely awesome. I like the little things you added, like the extra voice work. Image

Edit: the link to your site is missing a http:// in front, making it link to a page that definitely doesn't exist.
