Hey, Sniper here, time for my fifth uh . . fourth article. . .cauze my last one got deleted. A bit way off the subject. But this one is back to games. . .
INNOVATION IS THE KEY!!!
That's right, innovation is the ultimate key, in making your game a great success.Well think about, you could have these hot beautiful graphics but still have one of the worst games ever developed to mankind. . .But if your game is innovative and fresh - everyone's bound to play it every 5 seconds (eh. . .yea wateva)
Okay Ill explain with an example. . .If most of you dont know. . .RPGMaker2000 - is another gamemaking tool. Created by ASCII and translated by Don! YEA DON! WHOOHOO! HttP://www.gamingw.net
is like almost all RPGmaker - they have some klik games but not much. RPGMaker2000 is cool but kind of limited, you can make non-rpg's with it but it doesnt compare to Klik products because Klik has no limit on features. One kid made a kool fighting game in RPGMaker2000 but it only had like 2 moves, because of the RPGMaker2000 - unchangeble controls, when in MMF or CNC or TGF or even KNP - we've all talked about making like hundreds of moves and actually their was an article about this. Oh well now im way off the subject. Well I like RPGMaker2000 and i fool around with it. One of the big hits to do in RPGMaker2000 is to not use the Default Battle System and make your own custom one. One strong custom battle system is making an adventure system similar to Zedla. One of the problems though its EXTREMELY HARD 2 make good innovative AI, kinda like making a 3d game with KLik products, as the best so far ive seen is they just follow u. THAT COULD BE FIXED WITH A LIL INNOVATION. Try this, they can use varials to count how many steps a character goes. If he goes like ten steps make him stop, shoot a fireball, and then continue chase. . .You understand what i mean. . .its so simple, yet they want to have intense AI that they just cant do.
okay BACK TO KLIK
So basically. . .you want to be innovative when you're making your games. Dont be looking for all the easy ways out, but if you have two wayz of doing something and they both make the same product, just one is more complex, use the non-complex one it saves time and most often works. Try to be new and fresh when ur making ur games. ALot of the same sh*t has been floating around the Klik Community. Be different and unique. . .ull get some attention. Basically innovation is the way to become cool and famous (hehe) . . .so just try to think outside the loop, not just for games, but for life.
