This is just another "sum everything up because I'm sick and tired of reading articles LIKE this" artile (lol).
Newbies: What are they?
In our case, they have several definitions and it really depends on the context in which the word newbie is used.
Let's say you're in a chat room. A newbie is then someone that acts as if they know all about everything and for some odd reason, cant understand how to react to people in a chat room correctly.
On a forum, it'd be anyone who has recently signed up and/or acts obnoxious tward the other board members when acting in such a way isn't called for.
On DC, it's basically everyone who isn't a known presence or is rated a newbie. As you can see, I am rated a newbie, but I'm also a known presence therefore countering all that crap.
Klik Newbie: The warning signs.
In many cases, klik newbies tend to over-talk their new game creations and act as if they know all about klik products. They enter klik boards and chat and act as if they fit in right from the start when they can't possibly and sometimes many of them tend to act "too good for you".
Newbies: The reaction.
Flaming... flaming... flaming.
That's usually the reaction to newbie pride, but why? I agree many of the behaviours newbies exibit are at times a tad bit more than annoying, but you have to remember... even the most experianced klik users were once newbies. Without klik newbies, where would Clickteam be? Without klik newbies, I highly doubt you, the reader would even be reading this article.
They Are The World... They Are The Future...
Or whatever the lyrics were to that bad 80's song... Anyway, klik newbies ARE our future. Once we all grow out of klik products and get jobs programming for Nintendo's/Sony's/Microsoft's Xcube2 where will the community be if there aren't people backing it up down the road.
I'm Not Saying Put Up With Their Crap Forever.
Face it. Some people are asses plain and simple. If after 6 months a newbie hasn't stopped doing newbie things like acting as if they're the best thing since Yves then flame the hell out of them. Yes, DRIVE THEM AWAY. If they can't conform in the least then they aren't compatible with other community members. Giddemouddathar! People like that DO NOT BELONG, but every newbie DOES deserve a chance and they sould all get one, IMO.
Now stop posting all those "Everyone is being abusive to Newbies. Stop it!" articles. They get annoying (lol).
