This engine creates a deck of cards which there are no duplicates in it. You use the spacebar to start showing the cards and must push it for each new card until the deck is empty. The cards are ripped graphichs on the net, because i was lazy to draw them all. All cars are stored in one animation on a single active object. The engine contains a four line code with 7 events total. It use the random pool object. New link:

Can you upload the images to anywhere other than Imageshack?

There you go.

Accepted. I think you should consider pushing yourself a little harder though! Maybe create a card-based game with an open source engine?

That will come afterwards. Im not a hardcore click'er, just a noob still, but i'll try my best.

I made a simple poker card game at the end of ODW and I found it to be very hard, Circy. I had used a listbox object and added all the cards to it so that there would be no duplicates but comparing the hands was very tough for me .

I was thinking not of Poker, but more on the side of a simple " number pair matching game". Snap!

I freely concede a Poker game is difficult to do

Kinda that's what nice at MMF2: you see, comparing numbers is easy to me, but generating cards and stuff without repeating gives me an head ache! Every game creator has it own skills.

Well, now i currently working on a blackjack engine, but it seems like it's going t be difficult. I was wondering lua is the key there, but i'm not capable on that. I hope maybe someone can help me out with it.

Dont make it more difficult than it is

You will want to Use arrays to place the deck of card, and hold a shuffled deck of cards.

You would want a Shuffle Method, a add card method for both Player and CPU, you could use a Array to store each players hand also.

Make the player pull cards first, and keep counters to track values of cards.

Allow player to keep pulling till he hits 21, chooses to stop, or breaks.

CPU will then pull cards till his desired break point. Ie 17,18,19 etc. You could have a randomizer so he chooses to stop at a different number each time for more variety.

CPU will then pull cards till he beats the Player or busts.

Hope that helps.

The shuffle of the cards are ok,but i'm adjusting the rest a bit. I've neither used lua nor arrays. I'll go for maybe compairing the numbers. Basic within the old days where much easier. This could be a bit project for me, as i've never used much extra logic before than "Shoot enemy", "Destroy enemy", "Bounce enemy" and a player starship. Not much adding here in TDC

I have yet to experiment with Lua as well, however I'm eager to start. I used to use MMF ways back, now I have MMF2 and haven't really touched it, been rusty. Just keep remembering my days doing Java haha.

But bust of luck. If your looking for any help with the logic of how to do something shoot me a msg. I'm rusty with the software its self but could help you brainstorm some solutions.

Sorry, lost all my projects during harddrive crashes. All my external drives are destroyed by falling off the table(damn cat) and my laptop shut down suddenly and i lost that one too.

Well, now i managed to rip the card deck again as a animation. I will see if i remembered what i did last. Maybe doing some tweaks and adding the deck as a graphichs library and the generated gifs from the sprite sheet.
