Looks a bit pillow shaded to me. However, some 2x or 4x zoomed pictures would be nice to judge that properly.

Gah, you should upload as a file other than bitmap. Try PNG or GIF. And instead of linking, why not just post it here? ( http://www.create-games.com/smilies.asp )
Jannis isnt wrong about the pillow shading, but you seem to have a pretty good grasp of colour and linework which makes up for this somewhat.
I checked out your avatar under a magnifying glass and it perplexes me the amount of different types of black youve used, seems almost random and in any case pointless. Limit your colours, choose a light source and stick with it, otherwise you'll end up with more pillow-looking characters- and theyre a bitch come animating.
I'm glad to see another pixel artist here, and Id like to see more of your work, good luck!
