After alot of hard work put into fixing alot of bugs discovered in the v1.8 alpha of the game, I finally got ArcaneTale v1.9 ready for release! It now includes working Global Time, meaning no matter what time zone you live in, the time will be the same for everyone on that server. Also, the server list was shut down to just 1 main server for now, Jade. This is the most lagless server, & until the full version is released & more players start to join in, I'll open more servers so that the game is less crouded & laggy. Also, for a minor update, alot of graphical errors in the level design were fixed, such as corners in the ground appearing to be missing & all new & better looking waterfalls where added into the game, these new waterfalls not only look better, but dont lag the game NEARLY as much.
This entire update is basicly based on solving problems with the game slowing down & the all new global time, which was a pain in the butt to get working correctly btw.

Also, lets give it up for Amnesiasoft for being the first person to test this new version & prove that everything is working great so far, but that doesnt mean we dont need more people testing it out. So go ahead & download it. Note though that ArcaneTale v1.8 will no longer work at all anymore! It will refuse to run, so if you want to enter ArcaneTale, you must download this new update.

(Note that the file size is alot smaller because new music files are being compossed & will be .OGG. They are not in the game yet, so when you download this new version, there will NOT be any music.)

Its actually NOT by 1 single time zone, the time in ArcaneTale is all its own.

Basicly the time system in ArcaneTale is nothing but controlling of Day & Night, & maybe earlyer in the game, controlling when bosses come out, when defferent kinds of enemies come out & so on. The time system in ArcaneTale is known as ATT (ArcaneTaleTime), & it takes about 48 minutes to go through an entire day in ArcaneTale, so if its 5:00 when you first enter the game, in 48 minutes, you will have already experenced day, noon, night, & are back at dawn, 5:00.

Here is exactly how it works:

2 seconds in RWT (Real World Time) = 1 minute in ATT (ArcaneTale Time)
2 Minutes in RWT = 1 hour in ATT
48 minutes in RWT = 24 hours in ATT, aka. 1 Full Day

Though incase this is too confusing, just remember, in the new version of ArcaneTale, there is now a nice little clock in the top right hand corner.

The ATT Client is back up, if you had any problems getting the game to show the currect time, it should work now.

The foggy morning and night effects are pretty cool. I like those. The waterfalls seem a bit opaque though.

As a boy, I wanted to be a train. I didn’t realize this was unusual—that other kids played with trains, not as them.

It's got a nice atmosphere to it. The graphics are nice, but there isn't a whole lot to do. I found an old man. That was pretty much the highlight of my adventure. If you're going to make an online klik game, make sure to have lots of stuff for people to do when no one else is on, because that's probably how it's going to be most of the time.

Well once the full game is released, if all goes according to plane, using the server I'm using for the global time, I'll be able to add global enemies into the game, there will be ALOT of objects in the game such as keys, postons, orbs, & so on, not to mention all the quests that game is planed to have. So once the full is released, not only will there be alot to do by yourself, but with all this stuff to do by yourself, its a pretty safe bet that there will be alot of people joining you in the game, which is why I'm planing on things that take atleast 2-4 people to do. Such as people working together to fight off huge swarms of enemies or having to line up infront of doors to activate them, so the game will hopefully attract alot of people, & instead of people getting bord in the game because they are doing nothing but what they could do by them selfs already, there will be alot of team work activities that should make the ArcaneTale community stronger.

Well for the moment, thanks to X_Sheep we found out that if u rapidly kick, it basicly speeds up your walking 2x faster, this will be fixed though, but till then it works. Not to mention, later on in the game you will be able to access the running skill, which will let you run faster at the price of magic points (the blue bar) & once your magic is out, your running will slow down to a walk & all your skills will be unaccessable until the magic reaches atleast the half way point, just to make sure you dont take advantige of the quick magic fill up speed.

Not to forget health though, health is also done in a semi-odd way. Health automaticly regenerates slowly, later on in the game you may get items that speed the process up, but at the replacement of magic power, your magic refill will slow down, & you lose a lot that could otherwize be used for other useful objects. Not to mention the game will include potions for both health & magic, just incase your right in the middle of a dead beat battle, no one is around to assist you, & your laying on your death bed, you can quickly fire a potion at the press of a button. So the good outways what little is againced you, but heck, what would a game be if it was nothing but you fighting teddy bears that cant kill you, but you can kill them in ½ a hit.
