Are we trying to introduce are noobness to anyone out there? Are we just bored of real 3d game? Are we crazy? Are we insane? Are we random? Are we anti-individuals? Are we just members here to post stuff of randomness? Are we escaping from the meaning of life?
Bah I hate these philisophical posts. Everyone signed up to this site to be a part of a community in which they have a shared interest: making games. Swapping ideas, showing off your creations, helping others, is the whole point of this place. Nothing more, nothing less.
I came here because after making a game i realised noone would play it. I searched long and hard for a decent Click website to give people the chance to taste my masterpiece (as i thought back then) and found about three
The daily click (woooo!)
gaming world (rpg maker fanatics)
click gaming world (dead now but i got two games on there)
And then the daily click died for a while so i had to wait and resign before releasing my second game (Tops the pig)
i went back to gaming world a while ago and posted a picture but it was taken down because i didnt try hard enough (even though it was an great piece) basically their standards were too high for a humble being like me.
Click gaming world is deader than a fishfinger but its still online, you'll notice the front page has supar dupar bouncy guy (circy's game) http://web.telia.com/~u31917077/
Circy that's not entirely true, I just come here to lurk and stuff
"Say you're hanging from a huge cliff at the top of mt. everest and a guy comes along and says he'll save you, and proceeds to throw religious pamphlets at you while simultaniously giving a sermon." - Dustin G
Because I have to kidnap those who wander too close to my door or blackmail my brother to get anyone else to play my games, and seeing as (in my mind at least) they're actually quite good, that's pretty depressing. It's nice to think that I'm actually making something that may well be played by hundreds of people (Stick Matrix was, though not for very long) as it gives you something to aim for, and challenges you to think about the experience of the game. For example, previosly mentioned Stick Matrix was made pretty much just for me, and the result was that almost everyone who downloaded it complained that it was too hard or they didn't know the controls or couldn't work out how to get to the second level. My upcoming game therefore has logical controls that come up in writing as you need them, two difficulties (easy being heavily playtested by my many prisoners) and puzzles that people seem to be able to work out. It's going to be awesome, by the way. Wow, I'm subconciously plugging a game I haven't even previewed yet.
Why the hell am I on the computer at 1 in the morning? No, don't answer.
1)Because we all like to make games.
2)Because we like to talk about stuff on the forums.
3)Because we like hearing people comment on our games.
4)Because we like to laugh at stupid people.
5)Because we don't have real lives.
Fine Garbage since 2003.
CURRENT PROJECT:
-Paying off a massive amount of debt in college loans.
-Working in television.
This is definately the most active (and fun) Click community. For starters, there are several new forum posts every day, front page news is usually interesting and important and isn't intirely formed of a single screenshot from a game in development, and best of all there is no quality control on downloads, meaning there is infinate amusement.
