Hey all, I decided to make a post because I checked around the board & didnt see any active posts about this, & the news post is never seen at this point so...
Here are just some minor idea's for DC3:
For previews, there could be a drop down menu that lets you give a rough guess of how far the game is actually finished. Like 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, ect.
Signiture char. limits & the ability to add pictures, but they should stay under a set max size. & the bigger you make it, the more char. it counts as againced your max char. limit.
The ability to gain DC points by how your games & articles are rated rather then just how many you can throw out.
Thats really all I can think about right now that werent already said to be in DC3 such as skin changing & so on.
DaVince This fool just HAD to have a custom rating

There's a news post, you know.
- Showing the user's DC points in his profile.
- Buttons next to the 'new post' screen to isert images, text layouts and emoticons easily.
- EDIT BUTTONS FOR PREVIEWS/PREVIEW POSTS/LINKS+POSTS/DOWNLOAD POSTS/REVIEWS!!!
Other ideas at that guy's news post.
I did mention that the news post is no longer seen because its lower in the home page & no one ever looks there anymore. So I decided to make a board post.
when a preview is updated, it is brourght back to the top of the list, so people can keep others up to date with their project, without making multiple previews.
No one ever looks at that page to my knowledge, if its not in vision of the homepage without scrolling, chances are its not going to get any more replys. Its been that way for a long time.
Yeah, nobody ever looks at the archive unless they're looking for something specific, which is next to never.
- Self-rating system for downloads
- MAX SIG SIZE LIMITS
- Easy-peasy IP banning, or maybe reserved username elements to discourage people just making new accounts after getting banned
Fuck the W3C; I'm never using <em> and they can't make me. Besides, what, you want us to include a style sheet in every post? Please.
Edit:
I just had a look at the standards. They seriously expect people to use <div style="text-align:center"> instead of <center>. Ha! I defecate on their deprecation!
Radix, I think <div align="center"> is fine too. That's not that inconvenient, is it?
As long as the site looks the same in IE, Firefox and Opera I think 99.9% of us will be happy
