Does anyone else have this problem? Ever since I got my new PC with XP, maximised TGF games get really slow. For example: Bananarama, Bernard & Hank, Buzz the Squirrel etc. How do you fix it. I have to play them all small and I can hardly see the main guy. Is there some quick fix? Please tell me there is.

I had problems with bullets disappearing in my noir demo, but that was ages ago.

Well, Windows XP shouldn't be the problem. In fact, I'm quite sure the reason why some games run like sludge in fullscreen is because of the way they are resized. For example, in Bernand & Hank, the fullscreen mode doesn't run smoothly because it's done by using the 'Change resolution mode' option in properties (I believe). If you resize the app using MMF's Fullscreen action (in the event editor) or the 'DXres' object (I forget it's proper name), the game runs at full speed.

But with ME, those games would run full speed anyway. Why don't they with XP?

*shrug* It was the same with me, whether I had windows 98 or XP. Any games that were resized without Direct X ran pretty slow...whereas if they were at their original size, they ran fine.

EDIT - and my computer's not exactly a slouch either, with an Athlon 2500+ processor and 512MB RAM.

Same thing happened to me a while ago, it seemed to sort itself out after I'd got rid of the huge amount of spyware and viruses on my PC, so run Spybot or Ad-Aware and do a virus scan. Also I used to have trouble with earlier builds of MMF and I had to run in Windows 98 compatibility, but they seem to have sorted it out in later patches.

I've the latest build, and I run Spybot about every couple of weeks, and most of the time there's nothing.

Maybe its simply a matter of windows xp taking more resources than any earlier windows. or that The games factory isnt as compatible with xp as the others.

With my game that you mentiond it uses the sluggish resize to fullscreen as well as some other extensions because its not as good as multimedia fusion with these things.

Its also something to so with these games resizing by stretching the game window to a bigger size, this is a clearly slower than proper fullscreen.
