I have a link to tcd site where you can download a file, which contains MUCH tutorials, also a minimap tutorial. Be sure you have much extensions for tgf. You can get extensions from www.clickteam.info/extensions. And that totor pack can be downloaded from here:

http://www.create-games.com/forum_post.asp?id=112516

You must have WinRAR to open the file!!!

I think this helped.

Always:
set X position of (minimap dot) to X pos (minimap)+ X pos (player) / ((frame X size)/(minimap X size))

and the same for Y

make sure both the minimap and minimap dots are not "follow the frame"
there's also a minimap object extension available at:

I think tigerworks.co.uk has what you need to do this. In their extensions list it should say MiniMap Object. Its not that hard to use either.

"Actually sir, we found a tiny unicorn in your exhaust. It was jumping around poking holes in your gas tank." "Oh thank you I did not know that. A tiny unicorn? Wow."

Only if you know how many dots you'll need ahead of time and have one for each object you want to represent. You'd have to set it up for each frame and it'd be no good if you had, for example, something that spawned enemies every few seconds and you wanted to represent them on the map. In that case, or just generally so you could simply drop the objects and code into any frame and it'd work, there's a lot more to it. But I'm not going to bother since I doubt it'll get though to this guy.

An easy way to help without explaining is to find an example and post it here

http://www.geocities.com/alspics2001/Map.zip

try that out fella.

i know, it's not that good with multiple objects, but he said:
"Can you make a mini map in tgf so that ou can see where you are in the level?"
but if u need a really good minimap you should get the minimap extension.
