TDC is full of cocks who sign up with multiple new accounts just to vote on their own game, so what needs to be added is a filter that stops anyone who hasn't been here for more than, say, a week, or has less than a certain number of points, from entering the poll. Probably won't stop it completely but I bet it'd help.

Clubby actually routinely checks for cheating in GOTW, ever since we caught it last time.

That's actually a really good idea. However, if the GOTW goes past one week, which it often does, it will have no effect.

please note that the last time there was cheating, it was to stop the ridiculously stupid idea of circy's to put the same game, different version in the running yet again. The reason? "It deserves a second chance." Apparently even games that succeeded in their FIRST chance still get seccond ones! You learn something new everyday.

Now now, two wrongs don't make a right. Not most of the time, anyway.

actualy, the latest case of cheating was a lot sooner than that. Clubby caught it and made everything right though.

yea, but u could still create all those extra accounts a week before u submit your game . Cheating is for losers that can't win anyway. Winning for real is much more satisfying than cheating and winning

Me too has a problem, Because when I get my game as an option to be voted, I just curious to know how many votes I got, But I can't vote for my game... I have to wait one week until I could discover!

What happens anyway if I vote my own game? Do I get an angry message or something? Do I get executed? Does cops knock on my door telling me I have to be in jail? Does voting my game is actually a secret button for getting a cherry flavored pie with choclate cream on top?

I just want to know what actually happen if I try to vote my on game for the Game Of The Week competition.

I also suggest you to make the result visable to the people that has a game of the week nomination or at least make a view results for people who don't want to vote, because I'm afraid of God and I'm basically afraid of anyone here and don't want to be blaimed for doing these horrible mistakes. Also, make alittle candy jar at the front of the page so visitor could chew something while they surf the site.

can I have a candy?

Um, you CAN vote for your own game in GOTW, that's not prohibited. It's only one vote anyway, and the GOTW poll has been getting many more votes lately.
