Sorry for making this a little brief, but I honestly have to hit the bunk as soon as possible, so here goes... just moments ago, a mate of mine (we're separated by about 3000 kilometers, but that doesn't really matter ) told me he'd ask for help himself on these forums, but he feared that being a newbie to the forums will bring prejudice to his status towards the members here, so I'll try and ask for the sprites he needs.

Have you people heard of "Starship Troopers", the film? Yeah, you know, industrial amounts of pixel-made ketchup, alien bugs that put you in the dilemma of deciding wether they're greener or uglier, a whole bunch of marines that are ready to kick some insect butt and so on... if you haven't seen the film (any "Star Trek" and "Jason X" fan would recommend it, lol), I'll refresh your memory, have a look at this:

So, basically, that's what he needs, in both top-down and platform (side) view. He'd also want the bug to be animated (sorry for the amount of work you'll have on your shoulders), both versions of it. You could somewhat guess the dynamics of those bug legs, but, if not, it's up to you to make the aliens live , no problem!

By the way, the actual size of the sprites would be around 55*55 pixels, both of them (top-viewed and side-viewed). As I said, if you could do the animations for them, it would be great!

Anyway, thanks for all, I do hope you'll help me with this one, it would mean a lot to me, and a truckload more for the mate in question ! Ok, cya around, aight?

Nevermind. I thought you made that. I should read the actual topic before posting.

Starship Troopers, excellent film. Nice satire hidden behind mindless action. Erm, anyway. If you're wanting 3D rendered style graphics I know of a free model available, it's kinda above average but with a bit of cleaver lighting it could look proper sweet. Since the model's there, animation shouldn't be much of a problem.
If you're looking for 2D pixel-art graphics then I can't really help you, being busy working on a game myself.

Starship Troopers was a very funny piece of film. I didn't read this thread by the way. I thought I'd just point out that many of the actors involved were stupid and toook it seriously, which made the whole thing even better.
