I need to find a free GIF animator, for making things like smileys. I have been looking for one for over a week now, and still can't find someone that doesn't make me tear off my own ass and sell it to them in order to get it. Does anyone have a link to a free one?

one game tool that i really recommend would have to be Graphics Gale, just google for it, trust me you'll never use anything else for spriting again (Unless you go on to larger image sizes)

i wanted one too and i just googled it and found a GIF animator that i thought was free. But it wasn't. It was just a demo, so you could only save them as .avi  . However, i googled "avi gif converter" and found one to use to make gifs out of the useless avis  but i'm sure you could find one somewhere...

Okay, new problem... The gale program, from what I can find right away, can only save the file as .gal
I need to save it as .gif ... Is there any way to do this?
