theres no such thing as a parallelex backgroud, for a parallax background however, check the link given to you by Xerus Tiyuh.
as for an extentsion, those dont exist either, as for an extension, why dont you check clickteams extention list? http://www.clickteam.info/extensions/
i made an example but the website it was hosted on is now dead,
what you need is an active object and make it move relative to the scrolling (so the top corner of the screen) then divide it by a number, the bigger the number the slower it will move.
In one of my games a small square is in the top corner called 'parralax square'
set active object x to - X( "parralax square" ) - X( "parralax square" ) / 10
Andy,
I don't have a problem with coding at all.
I have a problem with the background.
What you say will work fine if I wan't to make the foreground out of active objects-unless of course someone knows how to bring active objects behind background objects.
Basicly, I don't want to make a level editor.
I haven't got MMF so I hope Chris/Branch's site can help with TGF.
instead of bitching at me saying that i shouldnt have posted that, you couldve actually been funny and called me on the fact that i spelled extension wrong after telling him he spelled it wrong.
What i wrote is the only way you will get it to work in tgf. Unless you made the background objects at the bottom the active object at the top so they never overlap.
sorry you have to use an active object for the parralax background.
