sonhos. did you not hear what they said in the movie. its not a war its an extermination. and what story line. they just kept running from the tripods. but yah know what. i really liked it.

All the more reason for it not to be called war of the worlds. I didnt really like it. Didnt really explain why when they sprayed human blood all over veins magically grew covering the place, and why the aliens although studying the earth for a million years, didnt realise that our nature would kill them- if they had somehow managed to plant the tripods in the earth, why didnt they realise then? AND! Why do aliens never seem to wear clothes? If theyre such great inventors do they not realise going around naked deserves a slap, especially when looking like that.And they were typical aliens aswell, cross between the ones with huge eyes and gigers alien. Crappy designif you ask me. VERY good special effects and sound i have to admit that, but i was somehow quite dissapointed with the storyline.It started out really good but then when they got to the mad mans basement everything slowed down.
ok i gotcha on the blood part. but if it was millions of years before when they planted the pods, the bacteria or microscopic life that killed them might not have exsited and if they studied from mars or wherever they came from how would they have known. and when are super intelligent aliens in movies ever super intelligent?(i still liked it though, its better then all the other generic crap out there)
woa! too far in! My mums m8 came over yesterday who went to see it and she wasnt impressed with the storyline, but she thought that ra (tom cruise) should have made weapons from the car engines he took appart. he could have somehow studied their weapons and develop something similar to fight back and therefore making it a war.That would have been cool... but maybe impossible.
