why don't you just work on another type of games then? You don't need to be in a team to do games in other genres. Think man/woman, think, before you post something like this. I consider this post completely uneccessary..

Does it matter if you're not good at GFX or SFX? I've played LOADS of fun games with crap graphics. For me, graphics is a big part of a game, but gameplay is also one hell of a big part. Start on something by yourself, do the graphics, release the game, and THEN make the statement if you want to have a companion that makes the graphics for you... geeez..

Believe me, it's not hard -although, tedious- to make everything by yourself.

I'm guessing the reason you've stuck with puzzle games is to avoid graphics where possible?

What language do you speak?

If you don't want to do many graphics, a good kind of game is a side-scrolling shoot-em-up.

You have a spaceship that moves from left to right along the screen. You collect power ups and shoot down enemies.

You don't really need to animate anything. It only needs one picture for the player's spaceship, and one picture for each enemy and power-up.

I can draw and animate, but I find it very boring, so I often choose games with very little graphics too. This is one of the best kinds.

Dines - That's puzzle games and space shooters, then. Or text adventures . Woohoo.

On a related note, it's kinda sad to see people restricted to making games of certain genres because they're no good at graphics...and of course, ripped graphics are often met with fire and pointy sticks. I find games with truly crap engines/playability far more offensive =P. There is an art to the MMF event editor, even if it requires no coding (and you could say coding is an excercise in tedium more than knowledge).

Er...anyway, this topic really needs a much better description of what you can and can't do, and what kind(s) of games you'd like to work at.

A lack of graphical ability has never stopped me from trying.
