Greets.
And now I have to change the volume of a loop background sound, but I dont want to use direct sound object because so I should make a folder with all sounds, but I dont want to let them be heared outside the game.
Is there any way to change the volume of a specific waw?
What about mods, it, etc?

Mci object? - for wavs, however Tigerworks is the man to ask for this
Or Dmc2 object (Digital music control 2) - for mods, it, xm, etc.

If you're not going to use MMF's built in sound object, then your sounds HAVE to be external files. There isn't any MMF extension that can play sounds internally from MMF. You have no choice, your sounds have to be in a folder, otherwise you simply can't do it.
Are there plot spoiling details given in these sounds? If not, I wouldn't worry about if people hear them outside the game or not. Also if they do hold secrets, just make those ones internal to MMF and have all your ordinary sound effects in a folder.

If they contain secrets, you can also encrypt them with the Blowfish object and decrypt them at run-time. If they contain secrets, then they probably will be used once throughout the game, so decrypting it wouldn't take up a lot of cycles. You'll have to remember to re-encrypt it after it plays, though.

The MCI object doesn't need to be downloaded, but the DMC2 does.
