how many of you guys find the AFTER midight hours condusive to working on games? I find that's the only time I can get inspiration ..... any thoughts on this - should I set my alarm for 7am?? (horror of horrors)

Nah, I think you just need a quiet time to be alone. At my hostel, it's actually harder to be alone at midnight. Everyone's either asleep or at class in the evening/morning, which is when I work best.
Disclaimer: Any sarcasm in my posts will not be mentioned as that would ruin the purpose. It is assumed that the reader is intelligent enough to tell the difference between what is sarcasm and what is not.
I generally get an idea then work on it until something makes me stop. I don't sleep much, so that's not an issue, unless I have something important to do the next day. When I do finish a game in one sitting, which happens fairly regularly, it's usually well after midnight.
It's rarer when I feel like kliking but don't have any inspiration. When that happens I work on one of my major projects.
another midnight one here. just hard at the moment. this house is spooky at night. i do all my game making on the laptop in the dining room, and its got this sort of distorted glass in the doors so its easy to 'see things'... past 3am my mind starts playing tricks so its off to bed i go, tum te tum.
at 4 or 5 in the morning my head would probably be resting on the keyboard and I would inadvertently have logged into some taboo porn site and with a twist of the head given out my credit card number!

well right now it's half one am and im farting about on stuff with my trusty mouse in my right hand (I said my mouse - got it MY MOUSE!!!) phew.... and I'm thinking I ought to be getting this platform movement sorted because people dont like the default (For some reason) and I .... well ... zzzzzzzzz ..................................................................................YIKES!!What is she doing with that cucumber???????????
