I was wondering if those little save, load, cut, copy and paste icons that are featured in almost many windows applications are copyrighted? They are used in MMF aswell.
I would like to use them in a commercial application.
I'm pretty sure aslong as you OWN a copy of windows you can do whatever you want with them, I know in Windows XP theres a DLL file in one of the System Directories which can be opened with a Resource Hacker and contains all Windows Icons.
I did that once with an application i created, go for it!
So all in all, your pretty much safe i'm certain that they aren't copyrighted.
Custom icons look so much better though i might add and if your gonna use the Windows icons go for the XP ones instead of 98, there all shiny
