Hello there! Newbie alert, so forgive me, for everything...
Long time Games Factory user (had a few high rated games back on Rikus's old site and everything!) and just started getting back in to it all. Been playing around with the MMF trial and where as I'm starting to come out of my "The Games Factory was better for this..." shell but one thing's really annoying me.
With the Games Factory you'd lay down several objects at a time by pressing the right button. Doesn't seem to be that way with MMF however unless I'm being really dumb. How do I go about doing this without having to go back to the library to drag it out every time?
you can add one then duplicate, add the amount you want (it works in rows and columns) and it will place them all in formation, or you can clone which gives each version of the tile a seperate id, so you can have em all doing different things.
"I'm starting to come out of my "The Games Factory was better for this..." shell" Good for you, MMF is WAY more powerful when you learn to use it. Unfortunately there is no way to lay several objects at a time (there is also no snap-to-grid feature), however there is, as Antworx said, cloning and duplicating which I find better.
If you hold down Ctrl and move an object, it will duplicate it in the same way as right-clicking in TGF did. The method is slightly less convenient, but you get used to it after a while.
