I'm writing a scrolling shoot em up using tgf. The space ship stays in the centre of the screen. But my score counter and energy bar either disappear completely or appear in a random place when I run the game. I've got "follow playfield" unchecked. The score and bar just won't stay put where I place them (bottom left of scren ) Any idea why this happens. I've changed the font of the score and customised the counter for the health.
Driving me mad. Anyone?

I think I'd have to see the .gam file - unchecking "follow playfield" seems the obvious answer, but you said you'd done that.

Always: set x position to x left frame + 32
set y position to y top frame + 32

Something like that should do it - amend the numbers to position the image exactly how you want it.

Is this to do with hotspots? Since your counter is customised. But in this case only when the counter chaged will the placement change.
otherwise you could upload the file and one of us will take a look.

Make sure you are putting it in the bottom left of the screen and not the frame. Try putting it in the top left of your frame, if it stays there then you're not placing it correctly.
