I want to put quotation marks in an expression, like have it set an edit box and he said "hi" to her or something like that. The problem is that in the expression evaluator, it thinks that i'm ending my first quote, and starting my ending quote later, it doesn't know what to do with the text in the middle, so it comes up with a syntax error. For Example in "and he said "hi" to her", it thinks that "and he said" and "to her" are 2 different things, and that "hi" is just a simple syntax error. There has to be a way around this, and what i'm doing doesn't work without the quotes (it's not speech). HELP ME!!!

The low-tech solution would be to just use 2 apostrophies and hope nobody notices. '' = "

Hahaha, reminds me of this:
10 PRINT CHR$(34); "Hello There!"; CHR$(34)
Way the hell back then when I programmed in original BASIC, because you also couldn't
show quotation marks without the computer thinking it was part of an expression or whatever.
