Hello,
Everytime I download and play a klikgame with samples in it, the game sorta freezes and starts repeating the sound, so I have to quit playing. I find this very annoying. It's the same thing when I create my own stuff and just testplay it. Maybe it's just wavesounds, I don't know.
Weird that it only happens on this computer, and only with games made in any of the clickteam products. Someone have a clue how I can fix this annoying problem?

Try reinstalling or getting a new CNCS dll, I'm not sure if TGF/MMF use the ram for things like sound effects, but if thats the case, perhaps it's a lack of ram? Not sure.

it happens to me loads. It just something ive put up with.
some games are always fine and some regularly mess up with the sound.
but with most games you can turn the sound off with CTRL+S (i think)

It used to do that to me all the time, but it doesn't now. It must be something to do with your computer, unless an old cncs232.dll would affect it.

It happens to me loads, but never ever on any games I've made. I remember Eternal Daughter being a nightmare to get through because it kept getting the sound problem.

I used to have that problem on my laptop when I had TGF installed, but I can't recall it happening in the last couple of years - it's definitely the WAVs that are the problem. I think that using a newer version of the cncs*.dll files may help with it.

Basicly the files on your computer are probably out of date. Update them.

Hopefully MMF2 will correct this issue, although I have never experienced it myself.

it's also possibly your sound drivers conflicting with the Click games.
I would copy a new cncs32.dll into the games folders, but most mmf games are in one file.

I've found that when it happens, a good way to fix it is to try to trigger the sound that's looping again. If it's an attack sound from the character, I tap attack a bunch of times, and sometimes it works.
But definitely update your cnc .dll's.

I think TGF's sound system doesn't like XP. When I still ran on 98, I had no trouble with sounds.

Hmm, may have something to do with having Click & Create installed then.
