Wow. Long sentence.

Not possible in TGF or MMF without an animation. Sorry. Perhaps in MMF2...

Wait... do you mean like this:

each little slantycube is a health unit... like that? That's really easy.

Create a horizontal counter.

Then two active objects which are slanted, and use them to mask the edge of the counter... so its the shape shown above... yes?

That's what I'd do if we're talking about the same thing.

Right:
Create your horizontal counter at the maximum length you need it.
Then two active objects the colour of the background these shapes:

|\
| \ - and one the same but flipped vertically and horizontally.
|_\

Now make sure the objects are positioned at each end of the counter, to cover up the vertical ends, and make them appear slanted. The actives must be brought to the front. Should work. Could make some very stylish counters this way.

Right, you gotta work out how many pixels the counter is.

Try and make every pixel of the counter 1 point on the counter.

If the counter is 100 max, make it 100pixels long.

Then set the active object on the right to "active object on the left + value of counter" and adjust it till its right.

Looks good, just adjust it a little because when you increase it a small vertical line is visible at the bottom. Looks nice though.
