This is probably an easy one but I just can`t find the way you do it.

The thing I wonder is how you compare text in an edit object too see if it is the right password.
So if you enter "gurka" and it is the "true" password some kind of event is activated and you get 103 extra lifes or something.

Anyone who can tell me?

"Complare two general values" would be the easiest way.

This seems to get a lot of people - I couldn't find it for ages either when I first got TGF. But "Compare two general values" is a very useful tool, and usually allows a lot more than comparing objects' properties directly.

I've even seen people who didn't know about Edittext$ continually save the contents of an Edit object out and load it via the INI object, and other such craziness.

The first time I had to do it I used some function of an alert box extension to do the comparisons. "Compare two general values" isn't really self-descriptive unless you think about it, unlike most of the action labelling.
