Hey, I just got Multimedia Fusion 2 yesterday and by some video's I think it's amazing. I do have a few questions on what types of games I can do though, can I make games like rpg's ya know ones like zelda or dragonball z log or something. Besides that I think it'll be a great maker to learn and I am a former Rm2k/3 user.

Yes, those games are possible to make - basically any 2D or Isometric game you have ever played could be made in Fusion (with the right knowledge and experience).

As easy as it is to make Zelda style games with MMF2 is takes more effort than rpgmaker2k/3.
you usually get better results though because rpgmaker is really limited.
Although i did see a tetris game made with rpgmaker2k once, goodness knows how the maker pulled that one off.
But yeah, MMF2 is more versatile because it's not limited to rpg's.

RPGs are quite possible with MMF2, actually not that difficult. However, they can be pretty coding/extension heavy, so you might want to take a look at some of the examples and articles here on the site. Also, once you get into it, stocking your copy of MMF2 with extensions is dead neccesary. You can find them here:

I should note that its almost retardedly easier to make one of those Final Fantasy styled RPGs where combat takes place in a seperate screen, then make one where all the combat takes place on the overworld. Seriously, some of those examples can be pieced together in hours.

Really? because ive always found it difficult to make one with a "final fantasy" style battle screen.

Well, if you know what you are doing, then it would only take a couple of hours to get a kick-ass battle engine.
The easiest and fastest way would probably be to store all data externally.

And hey, I think I'm going to make an engine/tutorial right now.
Unless I totally mess up due to my lack of sleep, I'll post it tomorrow.
