So, hifi's and that. Anyone here care for that kind of thing?
Something I've always been interested in. My dad gave me his old Teleton stereo amplifier when I was about 14 and it kick started it all. Now running a Pioneer SA-410 amp through 2x Rega Alya's for fun, 4x Wharfedale Modus for work. Sounds reet nifty too.

Same for me, Creative 5.1.
I also got my Playstation and SNES connected to my good-speakers stereo set (will check brand later if it's that important). Great sound, even if only stereo.
Then, for a while, I was trying to connect my stereo set to my computer, but the only cable I could find (and fit next to the surround cables) was something that sent all data in mono sound only. ¬_¬
My keyboard's connected to the computer (oh HA HA, I mean the musical kind), though in the game port (weird) and with a minor, VERY ANNOYING lag between keyboard and computer.
I have too many cables laying around now. Might experiment some more some time.
Yeah at the moment I'm just using the speakers on me digital piano for everything really - mostly because I can't be bothered to get 7/5.1 for like £200 ¬_¬
Still, I don't really need it at the moment either as my piano's speakers are like 100w and are rather decent, so I'm not complaining
It's connected via USB, funnily enough.. "usb audio device"
I'm thinking about getting some 5.1 speakers, Bose do a nice set. But that's Bose. Too soft, not much bass punch etc. Just 5.1 speakers tend to be little satellite things, even Kef only do small ones http://www.av-sales.co.uk/proddetail.php?prod=Kef-2005.2

Ok, so my stereo set has "Jamo" brand speakers, model "Compact 70". Never heard of them, but the speakers lasted for at least a decade now and they have great sound, good balance between high notes and bass. Adjustable on the stereo set, too.
If they're old and still sound great then you have a good pair of speakers. It's crazy how these old brands are starting to shine now, I'm finding pre 1980's amplifiers to have a much nicer sound than modern, grand mass produced Sony/Aiwa/co amps.
