Soo... I kind of dropped out of the klick community years ago, but a few months ago I picked up a copy of MMF2 with the express intention of creating this game. Years ago, I believe I was using the moniker Zozma, I released a few shite games made in KNP and later corell Click and Create (AKA MMF under a different license, in case none remembers it.)
The game Im working on now is, like I stated, a Platform/RPG/Fighter Hybrid. The jist of how that works (because its sort of a confusing combination of genre's) is that the world is constructed in the manor of a platform game, with jump puzzles and traps and all that other ilk, when you get too close too an enemy, you auto lock onto them fighter style (so you perpetually face your opponent) and can either dispatch them
using four standard attacks, mapped too one button each, or through the use of special moves that are either learned from trainers, for a cost and some skill points, or earned as quest rewards. The RPG element, is the more obvious kill shit or do quests for exp, level up, then get stat and skill points too spend. The skills are fairly minimalist, being all combat based, and the stats effect multiple parameters in the game (dex, for example, modifys your movement speed, jump strength, and damage dealt with bladed weapons and firearms)
In addition, this game is fairly free form, the beginning of it is straight forward enough, its super far in the future, there was a nuclear war that wiped out most of society awhile back, as well as mutating various flora and fauna. The rich survived, as they could afford private bunkers, some fortunate (or unfortunate) commoners survived by pure chance, and where mutated (think ghouls in fallout) and then life whent on. Government was never truely re-established, but the capitalistic bent that allowed for the rich too survive continued, and mega corporations where formed with there own private armys. Hostile takeovers become just that etc etc. You start out as a corporate hitwoman, you loose your job shortly after the game starts (basically after the tutorial portion ends.) and from then on can opt too work for other large mega corporations, or help the common man, or become a drug smuggler, or just run around killing every npc you see.

Soooo, the jist is, I reallllly hate doing tiles and background art, I will do it myself if none else does, but I also might just never finish this.
The aesthetic is sort of William Gibson does Mad Max, so I guess think shadowrun or fallout as a side scroller... I have the BULK of the engine code done, I will need too script some new AI code and/or modify my existing AI code on an enemy by enemy basis too keep combat interesting, but thats not a huge deal. The Status screen is done, the platform movement is done, combat is done, including weird little fluff things like combo's and countering (Think street fighter alpha counters, not Last Blade or DOA counters) I also have a fair amount of the sprite work done at this point. The main character is MOSTLY animated (I dont have a jumping low sword slash animation yet, and theres only 3 abilities/special moves at the moment)
