So I have my engine set up to restart the current frame when my character dies, but it will occasionally restart the frame with active objects drawn all over in weird places. when i scroll away and back it will fix itself. Everything is on one layer. Has anyone seen this before, and is there a workaround?

When I had my backgrounds on a different layer, I'd occasionally get walls and such from foreground layers leaving trails behind as well, which I could never figure out... Help?

I remember this happening in TGF. I am shocked and aroused that they haven't fixed it by MMF2.

I'm not sure of the cause so I can't propose a solution, other than to suggest you send the player to a pre-level frame rather than restarting the current frame.
