So in the past (and currently) I have always chosen "Start of Frame -> play and loop music x.mid 0 times". The issue I am realizing in my current project is that this always causes a delay of a few seconds before a level boots up. Is there a way around this? Since it is essentially 'frozen' for 3 seconds, is there anyway to get a loading screen in there or something?
FYI - I am using mid/midi files

Yeah, the basic midi playing in the klik products do that as it loads the midi file. You can use DMC2 I beleive, I think it supports midi's without the pausing.

Sweet thanks. I am using MMF2. I am actually noticing that it only does the long pause at the beginning of the game, and only a real short pause in between levels if I switch the music. I will loko into DMC2 though, thanks. Question though, will my executable still have to come with bass.dll if i use that, or did mmf2 get rid of that?
