Hay gies.

How do you create 3D objects, like cubes and stuff, using MMF1.5's 3D sprite object?

Plz help .

The short answer is "you don't". To start with, you'd need to create any 3d objects in another program - eg. 3DS Max, and then import them into MMF. You can't create new objects within MMF.

Regardless, the 3d Sprite object is completely useless. The fact is, there is no way of creating a half decent 3d game in MMF, regardless of whether you use 3d sprites, opengl, mode7 or whatever else. Anything you make will be slow, buggy, ugly, and generally crappy in every way imaginable. If you're that desperate to make a 3d game, you're gonna have to ditch MMF and use something else more suitable - blitz / dark basic, etc (even jamagic?).

If however, the game itself is basically 2d, then you're better off just pre-rendering all your 3d objects in another app. I can't really recommend a good 3d modelling tool - I use Milkshape3D because it's really easy to use, but it's not officially free, and it's nowhere near as capable as professional software.

Thanks, I just got the 3D sprite editor working. Now I use Wings 3D.

The 3D object in MMF absolutely SUCKS. Have fun seeing your hard, textured work turn totally untextured and glitchy in some places.

It has it's uses. 3d Backgrounds in a space shooter or something. But yeah, it's buggy, so I wish you luck.

Craps, I'm an old man!
