long story short:
got a computer a few days ago- hard drive was already broken- i gave the pc back and they checked it with some program and found out the hard drive was broken
now i got a new hard drive still i dont trust this thing. its acting strange and i want to check the other parts of this computer (which also might suck)
so what programs can i download to check the whole pc and see if this hard drive is broken as well and if the rest sucks, too.
i would love program names so i can download them
That's... not really anything to do with benchmarks...
But anyways, EVEREST and CPU-Z are quite good overall. More specifically, if it's a seagate/maxtor disk, you can use POWERMAX, or something? WesternDigital also have their own checker thingy... Look on the manufacturers' sites and stuff.
Also, run a chkdsk on ur pc... check it for errors the OS way, too BSOD's often give stuff away, as I know you are aware Michael
i know my previous (and new one) hard drive is Samsung and it was broken- they checked it with a Samsung program but didnt give me the name and I couldnt find it.
I checked the hd with WIN and it said its fine
btw activating windows xp via phone is HORRIBLE. i think ill crack it in the end even if i LEGALLY bought it. fuck i hate you m$
